Tiny forest sprite :O

A baker’s helper :)

Shmoke

A very short Granny :I With a basket? And a backpack??

My love of the game made me want to design some Harvest Moon-type characters!

Including: Main Character(Male and Female), little girl, Woodcutter Granny, Ferry Captain, librarian, forest spirit, farmer(seed/crop shop), blacksmith, ogre kid, ogre dad.

The granny lives in the woods, alone. Also she killed a bear and wears its fur.

I imagine the Librarian is creepy and sneaks up on readers to stare at them. She’s probably a ghost at night or something.

This is some of the best advice I’ve ever heard. Especially when I feel like I’m going through that phase right now.

I don’t usually reblog, but I highly recommend this to those creative minds out there.

Via Fucking Art, How Does It Work?

Drawn: Maurice Sendak on his life and work

drawnblog:

I posted a YouTube video earlier today of Tell Them Anything You Want, a 40-minute documentary on Maurice Sendak who died earlier today. The video has been taken down, but not before I managed to transcribe the author and illustrator’s parting thoughts on his work and life:

I did some…

Disney’s Mulan Deleted Scene: Reflection

In my opinion, deleting this scene from “Reflection” was a terrible mistake.  The song is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but this added part takes a somewhat disparing song and makes being different empowering and strong.

WHY WASN’T THIS HERE

wow. just wow

I don’t understand. It’s beautiful. Wow disney.

Yeah, Lea Salonga was heartbroken that they cut the song. I can understand why. This part is inspirational.

wtf disney :c

Holy hell the chills… <3 ;n; I cant even believe they cut this this was amazing

WHY DID THEY DELETE THIS…..

GOD I’M SO MAD

Okay

I watched this twice

and the second time

I fucking cried

why did they cut this I’m so angry now

And man those are some wickedly amazing storyboards, it would’ve looked spectacular fully realized.

Man, let me tell you, the decision to cut parts from a scene like this must have been so extremely hard for them to do. Don’t blame them too badly, kay. Someone probably felt like trash after it was redone, way worse than what we feel.

barp

The scene might look good, but I agree with the decision to cut it… The whole thing is WAY too obvious, and sort of holds your hand and tells you exactly what’s going on. Kind of like the “Hey kids, I’m the bad guy” song from Troll in Central Park: http://youtu.be/4ZXVdPr6y44?t=42s

/probable unpopular opinion

But hey, one of Walt Disney’s greatest talents was knowing what to cut.
